“Books as Love Letters:Why Gifting a Book is the perfect Expression of Affection”

I love to read and as a bookworm, one thing that is always on any of my gift wish list, are books.

There’s something special about fixing yourself a hot or cold cup of coffee and grabbing a book from your own personal book shelf to enjoy during your free time. That’s one of my favorite things to do, when baby girl falls asleep. Or on late nights when I can’t sleep, I will turn on my little book lamp and read in bed.

So one thing that I’ve made sure of is that as each of my children were born and growing up, was that they each have their own small personal library. How bittersweet it’s been to see the books change as they’ve grown up, but I’ve loved seeing how they grab their books and read them. Some they’ve saved to share with their siblings or children and that makes my heart ache in a beautiful way, because what better gift than that of reading. You get to learn new things, explore new places real or fake and best of all you get to let your mind free as you read.

That’s why as birthdays, holidays or special dates come up. Give the gift of reading.

Below you will find some of my favorite reads and some that my girls have been enjoying lately.

Highlights books have a range of books for all ages, books for reading and books full of activities.
