Fun Must Have DIY Kits For Kids

With less than 3 weeks away from the last day of school and Summer Vacation around the corner, I know a lot of parents are thinking of ways to keep kids entertained and having fun at home without being on a tablet or the computer all day and everyday. As we countdown to the beginning of Summer Vacation we will share fun ways to keep kids entertained on those days when it's just too hot outside. Today we are sharing some fun DIY kits.

Spirograph

Let us start by bringing back a classic, because come on. You can never go wrong with a classic game, especially Spirograph. To this day there's something fun and kind of magical about letting a circle or other fun shape guide your pencil and then taking it off to discover the fun art that you've made. I remember showing this to baby girl and we spent hours making fun and colorful art. This is one her favorite activities when she wants to paint or make art. She will even bring it out when her cousin or friends are over and they want some fun art to make.

You can find at your local Target, Walmart or Amazon.

Latchkits Yarnimals

These are perfect for children 8 & up who want to learn how to yarn and give it a try for the first time. These kits come with everything needed to make their own fuzzy friend. My advice is to make sure that they know that it will take some work and patience, at first baby girl was getting a little impatient while she got the hang of it, but once she did she went half way and then asked me to finish the rest. It definitely is recommended for older kids but if you have a little one around 6 or 7 years old, they could definitely try with your help.

Craft-tastic DIY Puffy Charm Maker Bracelet

These are so easy and fun to do. There are so many different things that can be done with the charms, once you are done making them. As we get closer to the end of the year, baby girl wanted to make some little presents for 5 of her closest friends and she picked up this kit and made them some fun pencil charms. They looked so cute, dangling from the pencils. This is a great way to gift some DIY love to any special person in your life. Oh and might I add that it's not messy at all. No cleaning up glue, or messy residue. That is definitely a win-win in my book!

You can these on Amazon, Target, and Walmart.

Puzzles

We rediscovered the magic of puzzles way back during the beginning of our lockdown during the beginning of the pandemic. I'm happy to report that the magic and fun is still there, there's just something special about bonding while getting a puzzle together and then the happy smile when you are finally done with your masterpiece. So don't underestimate a puzzle and its magic, it really is a great fun activity and you can pick how much time you spend on it.

You can buy these on Amazon, Target and Walmart or any local toy store.

Now I hope you feel a little better about those scorching days when going outside is just not an option. Just make sure to have some of these on hand and some yummy snacks and you will be set!

Love,

Kary xoxo
