It's crazy to think that I can finally write about family get togethers or having picnics in the park. Especially when it felt like this day would never come, but the days of being able to soak up the sun and enjoy some yummy treats outdoors has come and you better believe that we've been doing that almost every single day. It has been my therapy these past few weeks and it has been so good for my heart. The thing about having picnics or family get togethers for us is not only about the food and company, but it's also about those special touches that make them that more memorable and fun.
Today I'm sharing 5 fun ways that we have made our picnics that much more fun and oh so fancy.
Bubbles
There's no other feeling like that of chasing colorful bubbles. It really is such a carefree moment, perfect for adults and children. This has to be one of those must have picnic essentials. Valentina always makes sure that the bubble machine and bubble solution is in the bag. So make sure to add those bubbles in the picnic basket or bag as an essential for outdoor fun and family get togethers.
Hudsonest Paper Napkins
You have to love a pop of color and fun designs. I am in love with Hudsonest Paper Napkins. These napkins are made in small batches, and by small I mean only new designs only come out 4 times a year. So if you didn't snatch them up when you saw them, they might not be there the next time. Making them that much more special. We grabbed two of our Hudsonest Napkin packs, for our first picnic outdoors and they were so perfect for a fun afternoon/evening in the park. They also make for a great quick tablecloth if you forgot it at home. They are big enough that only 6 are needed to cover the table and you have a tablecloth in a couple of seconds. They are not stiff like other paper napkins with designs and they are very sturdy. We might have had a little bubble incident and had to use one for clean up, even though I was sad to use the napkin for cleaning up the little mess, I'm happy it didn't break a part when cleaning the mess. With it being June and Summer just a few days away. Hudsonest paper napkins are great for those upcoming graduation parties and Summer birthdays. I already told my mom to use some during my upcoming birthday this July :)

Pair of binoculars
You never know what little critter will pop up during your outdoor picnic and you want to make sure to be able to see them. Especially if they are up high on trees or down low by the river. The little fella pictured above is Mr.Peanuts, named by my children and we see him every time we are at the park. Binoculars have also helped us spy some pretty cool birds.
Yummy Treats
Yes, yes a picture of fruit might be the healthier choice but you know what, everything in moderation is great and Summer is all about those fun and yummy treats. So always make sure to pack some yummy treats for that sweet tooth, and after running around the park chasing birds or squirrels, your little ones will be extra happy.
So pack that basket or backpack and have a picnic in your yard, which ever it may be.
