In need of a date night or of a good Broadway show?
You can help give back while giving yourself a much needed night out.
How great does it feel to be able to treat yourself and know that at the same time you are helping someone in need.
There have been a few times that i've seen offers pop up here and there where you can make a certain purchase and a percent of the proceeds goes to a certain charity or organization. I can't tell you how good it feels every time I get a chance to give back even if it is a little bit, it all makes a difference.
The Children's Health Fund is an organization that helps bring healthcare to some of the country's poorest children, including NYC.
They also have an amazing mobile medical clinic which launched in 1987.
Not only are these mobile clinics fully equipped with examining rooms, waiting areas, a nurses station and a room for medical procedures but since it's a mobile clinic the children and families don't have to worry about transportation or getting to a certain location for medical attention.
What a beautiful thing it is to be able to make a difference in a child's and families life.
You can read more about Children's Health Fund here.
Right now Children's Health Fund is hosting an evening at the new Broadway musical "In Transit"
it will take place March 2nd.
They are selling 2 for 1 tickets, and a % of the proceeds will go to the Children's Health Fund.
The weather in NYC for this coming Thursday looks to be great, so why not grab a friend, family member or husband and make it a fun night.
You get to enjoy a fun broadway musical and help children in need.

This looks like it's going to be a great show. And what a great deal on the tickets if only I lived closer so I could grab some to go

It's amazing what mobile medical clinics can do for kids. You picked such a great cause!
ReplyDeleteI love this cause, it always hurts my heart to see kiddos battling something so "grown up". Love the cause, and I'm sure this was a fun event to attend!
ReplyDeleteIf you have the time to plan your departure from a corporate job, then consider maintaining health insurance coverage through the company's group policy.
